Today, I helped with the workshop: Free Ink Day
It mostly consisted of children, and a few elderly women using vegetables, and silkscreen ink to print onto chip board. The heart shaped chipboard I cut out a few Fridays ago, were used for this event. I was surprised with the outcome. I showed up at 11:30am, then waited until the event (12pm). No one showed up until 12:30. There weren't a ton of children at this event, but even us adults had a good time. It was weird using broccoli, celery, and potatoes to stamp/print with, but nonetheless it was still fun. I liked being able to see the children's thought process' when trying to create art. One little girl (probably about 7 yr old) made some flowers with a sky and sun, then I asked her what the dots around the flowers were, and she said "I don't know, I just wanted to add something to, you know, add some..." then she trailed off. I knew what she meant, haha. After all of the guests left, we cleaned up shop.
