Ciaran was sick with the flu today, so I covered the shop all by myself again. This time, I am staying until 9pm though for a workshop. I arrived to the shop at 10am, did opening procedures, cleaned, took out trash. I also followed specific instructions to turn on the "fan" projector piece in the gallery (see below).
I was informed by Dominic that a man would come in to give a check for him, and use the power washer. I also talked to this guy a little bit. He showed me some cool posters that him & Dom silkscreen printed over the week for a future event. I didn't get a photo, but the posters were really awesome... 1950s' illustration style with goofy landmarks of Indiana (for places to go check out in Indiana?). We also talked about school, & printing. He said he was also an Illustration Major in college "years ago" haha. The shop was empty all day, so I worked on schoolwork, and some personal logo / other illustrations for my Vintage shop because there's a Flea Market coming up on March 31st (at the Oilwick) that I will be a vendor in.

Yoga started at 4:30pm today. The time was changed so that hopefully people will show up, but no one did. So instead, I talked to the instructor, Carly about making some flyers and posting them around Herron / Indy to get some potential people.
Around 6pm, the Button & Brews event started. One of the Cat Head founders, Michael was the one running the workshop. I was there to take the $10 payment, and make sure to get all the attendees' information written down. I was also able to make some buttons for myself. We used magazine and you could also collage them which was cool! Around 8 or so people showed up, which Michael said was a pretty good amount. Since people didn't show up to that event until around 7pm, I just set up, then talked with Michael. I asked him questions about the shop, and why him, Dom, and Liz decided to start it. The shop is awesome, and it's nice to know that they were just three grad students at Herron that became best friends, then made this amazing co-op!
