Today, Ciaran asked me to clean the shop screens. So I removed the emulsion on around 15 screens, then power-washed them clean. After that, she wanted me to dehaze 6 of them as well. Dehazing is a process where you put the "dehazer chemical liquid" onto a screen, scrub it in til it bubbles, then wait. You wash the screen out after 30 minutes, and it is supposed to wash out the images/ink that is stuck in the screen mesh. Most of the shop screens are so bad, that it is hard to get out all of the image remnants. At 12pm, Ciaran stepped out to run some errands for a few hours, she returned around 3pm.
After cleaning screens, Ciaran wanted me to mop, so that the shop floors would look nice for the opening tonight, but there were a few people working in the shop. I didn't want to be rude, so I just swept the floors as best as I could. The opening for "Chemistry" is tonight at 7pm. I stayed at Cat Head and waited for some friends to meet up with me until 8pm, then we headed out to go see a few other shows!
